CALGARY. x–04s. An immigration hearing in Calgary this morning has ordered a deportation order for Jaskirat Singh Sidhu (JASS’-kihr-at SING sih-DOO’), the driver in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash. Sidhu was sentenced to eight years in prison for causing the crash that killed 16 people and injured 13 others. His lawyer, Michael Greene says he will now seek permanent residency on humanitarian grounds.
