CANNES, France. x–08s. Director Sean Baker has been chosen as this year’s winner of the top prize at the Cannes Film Festival. His film “Anora” is a story about a Brooklyn sex worker who marries the son of a wealthy Russian oligarch. After the win, Baker called it his singular goal as a filmmaker for the past 30 years.
