Kilmer Sports Ventures, led by Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment chairman Larry Tanenbaum, is paying 50 million dollars (U-S) for an expansion franchise to play out of Coca-Cola Coliseum starting in 2026. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was on hand for the announcement of the new team and he says that the recent growth of women’s professional sports is overdue.
