UNDATED. x–11s. First-of-its-kind legislation that classifies two abortion-inducing drugs as controlled and dangerous substances was signed into law yesterday by Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry. The measure affects the drugs mifepristone (mih-fuh-PRISS’-tohn) and misoprostol, which are used in medication abortions, the most common method of abortion in the U-S. Louisiana maternal fetal medicine specialist Dr. Jane Martin calls the move alarming.
