VALLEY VIEW, Tx. x–13s. The death toll from severe weather in the southern U-S has risen to 18. Powerful storms left a wide trail of destruction across Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. Seven deaths were reported in Cooke County, Texas, near the Oklahoma border, where a tornado Saturday night plowed through a rural area near a mobile home park. The dead included two children, aged two and five. Three family members were found dead in one home. Texas Governor Greg Abbott says there’s one way everyone in the state can help.
