NAT009 – (US-Memorial-Day)
FORT LIBERTY, N.C. x–10s. U-S Memorial Day weekend remembrances began early in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. A ceremony was held yesterday to include the names of five American soldiers killed in November during a Special Ops training mission to their memorial wall. The ceremony included the reveal of the carved names, the posting of the colours, the National Anthem, and a wreath laying. And while the honours are appreciated, Gold Star families know, the recognition is very difficult. Nancy Stets’ son, Staff Sergeant Mark Stets Junior was killed in Pakistan in 2010. She shares how she has coped over the years.
