He then resumed duties after temporarily transferring power to Deputy Secretary Kathleen Hicks on Friday evening. Reporter Terry Moran reminds us the U-S Defense Department has not always been so forthcoming about Austin’s health — pointing out what happened in January after he was treated in hospital for an infection.
