At the Stadio Olimpico, today’s Roma match will be played in an atmosphere that reflects a tangible disappointment among the Giallorossi fans.

The lack of official protest does not mean, in fact, that the fans are close to the team: the ticket data tell a story of wavering support, with many season ticket holders who have decided to put their seats back on sale or leave their seats empty.

It will not be a sell-out, but empty spaces are expected, marking a distancing of the public from the club compared to the first few days.

The trend has already been evident in the last home games.

Against Torino and Dinamo Kiev, in fact, the number of spectators dropped to 60,920 and 61,621 respectively, the lowest figures of the season so far.

Compared to the data from the beginning of the championship, this reduction in attendance is evident: against Inter, Roma reached over 64,000 fans, while against Udinese and Athletic Bilbao the crowd exceeded 63,000.

Even less important games, such as the one against Venezia, had around 62,000 spectators, demonstrating a greater participation than in the last games.

Compared to the first match of the season against Empoli, which attracted 67,500 fans, the drop appears clear and significant.

These numbers highlight a worrying situation, writes Corriere della Sera.

The general feeling of dissatisfaction with the management and the lack of convincing results is clearly reflected in the decline in fan attendance at the stadium.

The disappointment for a lackluster season, combined with betrayed expectations, is leading supporters to show their dissatisfaction in a silent but tangible way, choosing not to fill the stadium.

The empty Olimpico represents a signal for the club: without a reaction on the field, the risk of alienating a significant part of the fans becomes concrete.
