With Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic absent, Roger Federer is now the headline act at the ATP World Tour Finals in London after Rafael Nadal withdrew on Monday night.

Nadal lost his opening match to German David Goffin before calling time on his season due a persistent knee injury, and Federer is already through to the semi-finals with Jack Sock.

Grigor Dimitrov claimed to have the golden touch after thrashing David Goffin to sail into the knock-out stages. Dimitrov is now guaranteed to finish top of his group, with second place to be decided by a sudden-death match on Friday between Goffin and Dominic Thiem.

Thiem battled past Pablo Carreno Busta in three sets and now either he or Goffin will face Federer in the last four. Carreno Busta can no longer make it through.
