(PEI-Fatal-Crash-Investigation)

A 30-year-old man in P-E-I who died following a head-on crash in December was actually the driver of one of the vehicles.

R-C-M-P had initially identified the man as a passenger in a pickup truck that collided with an oncoming car as the truck pulled into oncoming traffic in a community outside Charlottetown.

Three people in the car died and a teenage boy in the same vehicle was seriously injured, while a 20-year-old man in the truck was also injured and later arrested although police say he was never charged.

The police investigation determined that alcohol was a factor in the crash.

(NL-Unknown-Soldier-Repatriation)

The remains of an unknown Newfoundland soldier who died in France during the First World War are coming home.

The French government is expected to formally transfer the remains to the governments of Canada and Newfoundland and Labrador during a repatriation ceremony tomorrow.

Preparations are also being made for a solemn reburial ceremony in St. John's on July 1st -- coinciding with Memorial Day in the province.

It's a time to remember the hundreds of young men from the Newfoundland Regiment who died on that day in 1916 -- during a disastrous battle at Beaumont-Hamel.
