Atlanta United have reportedly "reached a verbal agreement" with Middlesbrough regarding what would be an MLS-record deal for forward Latte Lath.
According to Tom Bogert of GiveMeSport and Ben Jacobs, the American side are prepared to spend "in the region of $20 million" for the 26-year-old.
Lath has been linked with numerous clubs in England but is now on the verge of a switch to the United States. The signing would be a big loss for Boro, given his current form.
During this season in the Championship, Lath has registered 10 goals and two assists in 26 appearances and is currently the club's leading scorer. Since arriving from Atalanta in Serie A, he has 26 goals in 56 games for the club overall.
