Another of Spanish football’s leading clubs have joined the hunt for a key member of the defensive ranks at Saudi giants Al-Nassr.

That’s according to El Chiringuito TV, who point towards Aymeric Laporte as the player in question.

The name of defender Laporte has of course positioned itself front and centre in the Spanish media headlines over the course of recent weeks.

This comes with the former Manchester City man’s strong showings at Euro 2024 having sparked interest in his services across La Liga.

To date, Real Madrid have been the club most heavily tipped as a potential landing spot, with Los Blancos having of course missed out on chief defensive target Leny Yoro.

As alluded to above, though, Real, it would appear, are not the only capital outfit keen on the prospect of bringing Laporte back to his home country this summer.

So too are Diego Simeone’s Atlético.

As per a report from El Chiringuito TV:

‘Atléti go for Laporte.

‘The red and white club wants the center back and is considering launching a definitive offer to sign him.’
