Aston Villa will consider the sale of Jhon Duran this month if a club meets their £80m valuation.

Duran has had a breakthrough season at Aston Villa and has scored 12 goals in all competitions despite limited football. He has averaged a goal every 87 minutes to attract interest from rival clubs.

West Ham saw a club-record bid of around £59m turned down for Duran earlier in then January transfer window. Villa are reluctant to sell the 21-year-old, who signed a new long-term contract in October.

However, it has been revealed that a move this month is possible if an offer arrives that suits all parties. Unai Emery faces a difficult task providing Duran with regular football amid the presence of Ollie Watkins at Villa Park. An offer in the region of £80m could tempt Villa into a sale and provide Emery with funds to reinvest into the squad. Villa are currently locked in talks with Chelsea over a double deal for Axel Disasi and Joao Felix. Coincidentally, Chelsea approached Villa to discuss the conditions of a deal for Duran in the summer window.

Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr are also interested in Duran and weighing up a deal before the Saudi Pro League deadline on January 30. Stefano Pioli’s squad are underperforming in the SPL and sit fourth in the table, despite boasting talent including Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcelo Brozovic, Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte. French champions Paris Saint-Germain are another club who have been named as admirers of Duran.
