Aston Villa enquire about Sevilla centre-back Loïc Badé
Aston Villa FC have reached out to La Liga side Sevilla over the availability of France international centre-back Loïc Badé (24), according to a report this Monday from L’Equipe. The former Rennes and Nottingham Forest defender is tied with the Rojiblancos over a contract set to expire in 2029. The Villains have reportedly started discussions with Sevilla to determine the conditions in which they could part ways with the 2023 Europa League winner.
Badé is yet to make his senior France debut under the tutelage of Didier Deschamps. However, the latter has called him up twice recently, for the October and November international break. The outlet understands that Badé’s contract includes a €50m release clause. The silver medalist with Thierry Henry’s France Olympic team would reunite with fellow France international Lucas Digne at Villa Park. Badé would also rejuvenate Villa’s aging backline.
