Arsenal have both Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino starting tonight’s clash with Girona in the Champions League, while Neto makes his debut in goal.

The midfield pair both missed Saturday’s eventful 1-0 Premier League win at Wolves, with captain Odegaard suffering with illness and Merino out due to a knock.

But Odegaard and Merino were both back in training on Tuesday morning and each start in Spain on Wednesday night.

Manager Mikel Arteta makes several changes for the game as Arsenal are already all but through to the last 16 of the Champions League.

Bournemouth loanee Neto makes his debut in goal with no David Raya in the squad at all, while Jakub Kiwior comes into the defence. Riccardo Calafiori, who scored the winner off the bench at Wolves, also gets a start.

In midfield, Jorginho comes into the team and Merino also gets a start alongside Odegaard after recovering from his knock, with Thomas Partey moving to right-back.

Kai Havertz gets a rest in attack after he basically collapsed on the pitch at the end of the win at Wolves. Leandro Trossard looks to be operating as a striker after playing there for Arsenal in the past.

Ethan Nwaneri, who was taken off at half-time at Molineux last weekend following Myles Lewis-Skelly’s red card, starts on the right wing again.

Raheem Sterling, who has struggled since joining on loan from Chelsea in the summer, starts on the other flank.

Arsenal XI: Neto, Partey, Kiwior, Gabriel, Calafiori, Jorginho, Merino, Odegaard, Nwaneri, Sterling, Trossard

Subs: Setford, Porter, Timber, Zinchenko, Lewis-Skelly, Tierney, Saliba, Rice, Salah, Martinelli, Butler-Oyedeji, Havertz
