Arsenal Women make NYCFC's Nick Cushing 'primary target' as new manager
Arsenal are setting their sights on New York City FC’s Nick Cushing to take the reins of their women’s side.
According to multiple reports, the managerless Women’s Super League outfit have identified Cushing as their preferred candidate.
However the Gunners are in no rush to fill the void left by Jonas Eidevall’s resignation with his former deputy Renée Slegers currently overseeing first-team duties.
Cushing guided Manchester City to four major honours during a seven-year spell before joining NYCFC initially as assistant coach in 2020.
The 39-year-old is currently under contract with the MLS franchise until the end of the 2025 season and is currently preparing for the play-offs.
