Arsenal target January signings amid injury crisis
Arsenal are on the hunt for new signings in the January transfer window as their injury worries continue to grow, manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed.
While the Gunners don’t have the longest injury list in the Premier League at this moment, they are missing key players such as Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori, among others.
Gabriel Jesus is the latest player on the treatment, with reports suggesting the Brazilian forward has ruptured an ACL.
Arteta would not confirm the status of Jesus’ injury at his press conference ahead of Wednesday’s North London Derby against Spurs, but he did say that Arsenal would look to the market for a solution to their problems.

“My answer doesn’t change,” he said. “We are actively looking into the market to improve the squad.
“We always have been. It would be naïve not too. We are looking and we are trying, so let’s see what we can do.
“To recruit a player there are three parties who have to agree to that. The fact I love my players doesn’t mean we can’t think about improving.
“We do daily and when the market comes around we have to make sure we have the best resources and capacity to compete the way that we want to.”
