Arsenal went level on points with Premier League leaders Manchester City by beating Leicester in another thriller.

The Gunners had looked on course to be held to a draw after James Justin’s brace cancelled out Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard’s first-half goals.

Arsenal, however, struck twice in added time to secure a vital three points as Trossard and Kai Havertz came to their rescue.

David Raya 6

Passed a late fitness test to start. Had literally nothing to do in the first half, then beaten by a deflection and stunning volley.

Jurrien Timber 8

Impressed at left-back in recent weeks and now excelling on the other flank. Looked so good going forward and set up the opening goal.

William Saliba 6

Cruised the first half and gave Jamie Vardy nothing. Then booked for a foul on him early in the second half, with Leicester scoring from the free-kick.

Gabriel 6

Would have scored for the third Premier League game in a row had it not been for Mads Hermansen’s save. Such a threat from set-pieces.

Riccardo Calafiori 7

Started for the third game in a row. Had some bright moments, especially going forward. Looks a classy player.

Kai Havertz 7

Drifted deep into midfield a lot to help the side cope without Martin Odegaard. Got the goal his work rate deserved late on.

Thomas Partey 6

Looked good in the first half as Arsenal bossed the game, but faded a bit after the break.

Declan Rice 6

Not playing as advanced as he was last season, perhaps due to the absence of Odegaard. The odd bright moment, but not quite at it.

Bukayo Saka 7

Linked up well with Timber down the right and was a threat. Set-pieces were, once again, excellent and grabbed an assist for Trossard’s second.

Leandro Trossard 8 | Star player

Arsenal’s hero. Scored their second goal and grabbed the vital third one, too. Such a clutch player for the Gunners.

Gabriel Martinelli 8

The winger’s best game in a long time. Scored his first goal for Arsenal since March and set up Trossard for the second.
