Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson is set to make his full debut for Fulham on Tuesday night, manager Marco Silva has hinted ahead of the game.

Reiss Nelson made his Fulham debut as a substitute at the weekend, but he’s still yet to make his full debut as a starter for his loan side.

Fulham boss Marco Silva suggests that will change on Tuesday night, as his team travel away to Preston North End in the League Cup at 19:45 BST.

“[Nelson] had a very good impact since he joined us,” Silva said. “This match (against Preston) will be an opportunity to see him again.”

Nelson impressed in his first cameo for Fulham against West Ham, coming on as a second-half substitute.

The Arsenal winger completed both of his attempted dribbles, won the majority of his individual duels, and completed eight of 11 passes. He even went close to scoring with a shot that required a save from Alphonse Areola.

With Fulham looking to secure all three points, Nelson picked up a yellow card in the dying minutes for delaying a free-kick. Arsenal fans will be all too familiar with that rule.

The match ended in a draw, but Arsenal fans will have been pleased to see Nelson making a confident debut. It seems he’ll now get an opportunity to show what he can do in the starting lineup.
