Arsenal Defender Turns Down Bologna – But Open To Inter Milan Move

Arsenal defender Jaklub Kiwior has rejected a move to Bologna, but would consider joining Inter Milan this summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.

One thing that looks fairly clear is that Kiwior will leave Arsenal this summer.

The 24-year-old Polish international is pushing for an exit from the Emirates.

The reason for Kiwior wanting to leave is that he feels that he will not receive sufficient playing time next season.

Last campaign, Kiwior was not always a regular starter for the Gunners.

Moreover, Arsenal look to be on the verge of signing Ricardo Calafiori from Bologna.

Calafiori is a left-footed defender like Kiwior. This would seem to indicate that there is a risk of the Pole being pushed down the pecking order and becoming more of a backup option.

Therefore, Kiwior’s intent is to leave and join a team where he will feature more regularly.

Arsenal Defender Kiwior Rejects Bologna – Open To Inter

According to Tuttosport, the idea was floated that Kiwior could join Bologna as part of the deal for former Roma defender Calafiori to join Arsenal.

However, the newspaper reports, the Polish defender has little interest in such a move.

Even with Bologna in the Champions League next season, Kiwior does not see the Emilians as an ambitious enough club.

The 24-year-old is aiming to join a bigger club.

However, a return to Serie A is still a real possibility for Kiwior – who joined Arsenal from Spezia in January of 2023.

Tuttosport report that Kiwior would certainly consider a move to Inter.

The Nerazzurri are looking for a left-sided defender to back up Alessandro Bastoni after missing out on Juan Cabal to Juventus.

The big issue is that Inter would almost certainly only be able to sign Kiwior on an initial loan deal.

If Arsenal open up to such a transfer formula, then the Nerazzurri would certainly consider the Pole a target.

Therefore, Kiwior pushing to make the move to Inter happen could be decisive.
