Simon Collings reports for The Standard that Arsenal’s Ayden Heaven is attracting transfer interest from Borussia Dortmund, one of multiple clubs to track the teenager.

Arsenal want Heaven to stay, but rival Premier League clubs have also spent time scouting him.

The player was a big Arsenal fan growing up, but while many of his peers sign professional terms with the club, he’s still yet to do so.

Earlier this week, Arsenal confirmed Brayden Clarke’s first professional deal, just days after the defender became eligible for one at 17. Seven other youth players signed professional terms last week.

But Heaven is yet to do so, having turned 17 last September. He remains under contract, with a scholarship deal at Arsenal, but that deal will expire at the end of the season.

Heaven recently made his England youth debut, playing for the u18s in May, which has likely only increased the attention on him.

For Arsenal, Heaven made 31 appearances last season, including 17 for the u21s. The teenager even made one appearance in Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad, making the bench against FC Porto in the Champions League.

But the Gunners will need to show Heaven they have a clear plan for him this year, with plenty of other clubs clearly waiting to strike if Arsenal can’t agree professional terms.
