Yahoo Sports Arne Slot reveals extent of latest Alisson Becker injury blow
Alisson Becker is set to miss out when Liverpool face Bournemouth at Anfield this Saturday as a result of a hamstring injury.
Liverpool bounced back well from defeat at home to Nottingham Forest last weekend with an impressive 3-1 win at San Siro and will hope this weekend’s Premier League game can help demonstrate the Forest result was a one-off.
They are likely going to have to do so without goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who Arne Slot confirmed was a doubt ahead of this weekend’s clash.

What did Slot say?
Slot said in a press conference: “Alisson is still a doubt if he can train today. So let’s wait if he can train and if he can’t he will probably not play as well so we have to wait and see.
“He has a slight issue with one of his muscles and we wonder if this game from tomorrow is coming too early or not. I think he didn’t get it from the Milan game it happened a bit before, but after the Milan game he felt more and more and now we have to wait and see if he’s ready to be in goal tomorrow or we have to wait a few more extra days.”
It is possible Alisson may be fit, with Slot not confirming he would be out, but at this point seems unlikely. It would be a blow for the Reds, with Alisson starting the season well, and sitting joint-top of the golden glove rankings with David Raya, albeit after just four games.
Kelleher's chance to impress
Caoimhin Kelleher would come in for the Reds and is a great option, despite being second choice. He has deputised for the Brazilian many times before, with Alisson getting more injuries than the average goalkeeper.
The 25-year-old impressed on international duty for Ireland recently, making seven saves and playing well against England, despite the 2-0 loss. Kelleher was recently praised by his manager after he expressed his desire to leave the club.

Slot was asked about Kelleher’s wishes and said: "I’d be really worried if a player comes out saying, ‘I don’t care about playing first-team football, I like it so much on the bench and I want to stay there for the rest of my life'.
“That would be a bigger worry for me. It’s normal that they want to play
“I think Caoimh has shown many times in the past few years, and even in pre-season, that he’s ready every time we need him.
“It is a good thing he wants to play. Who knows, he’s going to play for us in the future, but at this moment it is quite clear Alisson is our No.1.”
The Irishman may now get his chance though with Alisson’s hamstring tightness likely to keep him out tomorrow.
The arrival of Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili next summer may however mean the Irish keeper could get the chance to leave Merseyside and become first choice somewhere else, which he deserves after his time with the club.
