Arkansas, Kansas baseball signees lead Liberty North to baseball state title game: Scores

File photo

Liberty North is headed to the Class 6 baseball state championship game. The Eagles scored two runs in the first inning of Friday’s state semifinal and held on the rest of the way ... without recording another hit.

Nixa scored one in the fifth and out-hit Liberty North 5-2, but the Eagles got a strong start from Tate McGuire, who threw six innings of one-run ball with 11 strikeouts before turning it over to Ty Wisdom in the seventh.

Wisdom, who recorded the save, struck out two to finish off the 90-minute contest.

McGuire is headed to Arkansas after the season as part of the Razorbacks’ top-ranked signing class, while Wisdom has signed to play at Kansas.

Here is a look at the Missouri state baseball results for all classes. All MSHSAA state semifinal and title games are taking place at Sky Bacon Stadium in Ozark.
