For their chosen looks, both Grande and Erivo channeled their respective “Wicked” characters. Grande fashioned an Oscar de la Renta minidress from the spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The look featured hues of pink and white, with fabric evoking the look of flower petals. Grande accessorized her outfit with jewelry courtesy by Irene Neuwirth. She completed the ensemble with a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes.
Grande’s hair was styled by Alyx Liu, with makeup by Michael Anthony. The singer’s look was curated by Mimi Cuttrell, who has worked with Maude Apatow and Reneé Rapp, among other A-list clients.
As for Erivo’s look, the Oscar-nominated actress fashioned pieces courtesy of Versace. Erivo’s metallic skirt was from the fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection, while her green top featured off-the-shoulder straps and was wholly evocative of her “Wicked” character, Elphaba. Her makeup was done by Joanna Simkin. Erivo’s look was styled by Jason Bolden, who’s worked with Nathalie Emmanuel and Vanessa Hudgens, among others.
CinemaCon has been a destination for several high-profile stars to discuss their upcoming projects. On Wednesday, Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry made an appearance to discuss her forthcoming film “Never Let Go.” She fashioned a burgundy top and matching skirt for the occasion.
Emmy-nominated Anya Taylor-Joy attended the event on Tuesday. For her attire, the actress opted for a leather minidress with metallic detailing from Ludovic de Saint Sernin‘s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection, which toyed with S&M edginess. She was on hand to promote her film “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” which will hit theaters this May.
“Wicked,” starring Grande and Erivo, is the film adaptation of the Tony-winning musical of the same name. The film is directed by “Crazy Rich Asians” helmer Jon M. Chu. “Wicked” hits theaters Nov. 27.
