Argentina vs Colombia: Copa America final prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h, odds

The Copa America trophy is on the line this weekend when Argentina face Colombia.

Only once before have Los Cafeteros been crowned the kings of South America, back in 2001, and it is quite remarkable that they have failed to reach the final ever since.

Argentina have suffered no such droughts and are out to claim a 16th Copa America to take them past Uruguay as the outright record-holders for lifting the trophy.

The defending champions have swept through this year’s tournament while only conceding one goal and got the better of surprise package Canada in the semi-finals.

Colombia topped Group D ahead of Brazil before edging Uruguay to make the final, in a game marred by clashes between fans and players in the stands.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Argentina vs Colombia is scheduled for a 1am BST kick-off in the early hours of Monday, July 15 2024.

The match will take place at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Argentina vs Colombia team news

Lionel Messi overcame a leg injury to play the full 90 minutes of Argentina’s win over Canada and is expected to start again in Miami.

Julian Alvarez’s goal in the semi should see him retain his place in the line-up over Lautaro Martinez while Lionel Scaloni has a settled defence available, featuring Lisandro Martinez and Cristian Romero at centre-back.

A couple of questions remain in midfield as Nico Gonzalez and Giovani Lo Celso compete to prove their worth ahead of Alexis Mac Allister, who has played on the left of a 4-4-2.

Colombia will be without Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz after his red card against Uruguay. Santiago Arias should cover at right-back.

James Rodriguez is set to captain the team and feature alongside Jhon Cordoba and Liverpool’s Luis Diaz in attack.
