Argentina Star Looks Back On Ups & Downs At Inter Milan: ‘First Memories, Great Moments, Injuries’
Joaquin Correa has given his perspective on his ups and downs at Inter Milan, from great moments to disappointing injuries.
The Argentine looked back on his time at the Nerazzurri in the matchday programme for today’s Serie A match against Parma.
Correa enjoyed a comeback for Inter that was as joyous as it was unexpected last month.
The 30-year-old got the start for the Nerazzurri in a Serie A match against Hellas Verona. This was not just his first start of the season, but the first in well over a year for Correa.
And the former Lazio and Sevilla forward was the match’s hero.
Correa got the opening goal, made two assists, and hit the crossbar twice to lead Inter to a 5-0 victory.
This was not the first time that Correa had shone at the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.
In his first ever match as an Inter player, just hours after signing for the Nerazzurri, Correa scored a match-winning brace.
However, in the years between those two matches there were a lot of struggles. These included a disastrous loan move to Marseille last season.

Inter forward Correa said that “In my career I’ve experienced good moments, and difficult ones.”
“But even the negative times have helped me grow,” the Argentine declared.
“The injury during the World Cup, for example, was very difficult for me,” Correa admitted.
“But it taught me how important it is to react and look forward.”
“Today I feel more mature,” Correa said. “I have more experience as a footballer and as a person.”
“I know there’s always something more to learn.”
Of his debut for Inter, Correa looked back “I remember everything was very quick.”
“I signed, and then the next day we played Verona,” the Argentine noted. “I came on as a substitute, I scored two goals, and we won.”
“It was a beautiful day,” Correa said of his Inter debut.
Meanwhile, Correa spoke about the best players he’s come up against. “I played against Messi when I was at Sevilla,” the 30-year-old said. “Obviously I can’t help but mention him.”
“Then I’d add Sergio Ramos,” Correa said. “He was in incredible form at Real Madrid, and it was extremely tough to play against him.”
