AP Top 25: Georgia and Miami drop out of the top 10 after Week 11 losses

Georgia tumbled out of the top 10 after its loss to Ole Miss on Saturday.

The Bulldogs are now at No. 11 in the AP Top 25 after losing 28-10. Georgia dropped nine spots from No. 2 and is one spot ahead of Miami after the Hurricanes lost on the road to Georgia Tech. Miami fell eight spots from No. 4 to No. 12.

Oregon stayed at No. 1 after beating Maryland at home. Ohio State moved up one spot to No. 2, Texas jumped two spots to No. 3 and Penn State also moved up two spots to No. 4. Indiana rounds out the top five after moving up three spots following a 20-15 win at home vs. Michigan.

Tennessee, BYU, Notre Dame, Alabama and Ole Miss fill out the top 10. The Cougars remained undefeated with a stunning 22-21 road win over Utah late Saturday night after Utah was called for a controversial defensive holding penalty on BYU's winning drive.

Georgia may not be outside the top 10 for very long, however. The Bulldogs host Tennessee in the biggest game of Week 12. The Vols beat Mississippi State at home on Saturday, though QB Nico Iamaleava missed the second half because of an upper-body injury. After the game, coach Josh Heupel said that Iamaleava's absence was precautionary and he should be ready to play against the Bulldogs.

There's just one other game between ranked opponents in Week 12. And it's also in the SEC. No. 23 South Carolina hosts No. 24 Missouri. The Gamecocks beat Vanderbilt on the road on Saturday, while Missouri beat Oklahoma 30-23 in one of the most bizarre fourth quarters you'll ever see. Each team had a go-ahead fumble recovery for a TD in the final three minutes of the game.
