Anthony Davis day-to-day after re-injuring shoulder
New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis has suffered no structural damage to his right shoulder and his return to the lineup has been termed day-to-day, a league source told Yahoo Sports.
Davis, an MVP candidate, reinjured his right shoulder on Saturday night in a collision with Miami's Hassan Whiteside. The injury caused him to leave the game.
Davis withdrew from the All-Star game with the bruised shoulder last week.
"He got it in the same spot," a source with knowledge of the injury told Yahoo Sports.
Davis is averaging 24 points and 10 rebounds a game for New Orleans. The Pelicans are 28-27 and two games behind Oklahoma City for the eighth playoff spot in the Western Conference.
