Ansu Fati’s refusal could push another Barcelona star out the exit door
La Liga giants Barcelona are taking into fresh consideration the sale of a member of the club’s defensive ranks this month.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Andreas Christensen as the player in question.
Stopper Christensen has for his part endured a difficult season to date, a niggling Achilles issue having forced the Dane into a long-term spell on the sidelines.
Christensen has since returned to fitness, but the road to regular minutes in Hansi Flick’s backline looks a complicated one, owing to the presence of all of Pau Cubarsí, Iñigo Martínez and Ronald Araújo.
The former Chelsea man, in turn, could yet be on the move before the month is out.
As per MD, the Barcelona brass are still working to open the necessary space on the club’s wage bill to bring in Marcus Rashford.
With Ansu Fati refusing any and all options to depart, Christensen could therefore be the chosen one to head out, be it on loan or a permanent basis.
