Another Stars Forward Added to Four Nations Roster
The Finnish mafia from the Dallas Stars is unsurprisingly sticking together on Team Finland for the upcoming Four Nations Face-Off in February.
Roope Hintz was selected to the final roster for Finland Wednesday after Miro Heiskanen and Esa Lindell were both chosen as part of the first six players released earlier in the year, meaning all three Finnish Stars will represent their country.

The NHL is hosting the Four Nations Face-Off tournament for the first time to try and reinvigorate people about international best-on-best hockey in anticipation of the upcoming 2026 Olympics that will feature NHL players for the first time since 2014. The nations involved are the United States, Canada, Finland and Sweden. In lieu of an All-Star game, the tournament will be played from February 12-20th and there will be a pause in the NHL season during play. All of the games will be played in Montreal and Boston.
The addition of Hintz comes as no surprise, as he is not only one of the best Finnish forwards in the league, but one of the top centers of any nation in the NHL. Hintz has 157 goals and 325 points in 415 games going into his seventh season. This year, he has 15 points in 23 games.
Hintz could easily center a top line with dynamic wingers like Sebastian Aho and Mikko Rantanen as potential linemates. His speed and skill will compliment the rest of the Finnish roster quite well.
Heiskanen and Lindell are joined on defense by Rasmus Ristolainen, Olli Maatta, Juuso Valimaki, Niko Mikkola and former Stars defenseman Jani Hakanpaa.
