Another Real Madrid star returns for pre-season ahead of schedule

A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has made the trip to the club’s base for pre-season training, ahead of schedule.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are of course currently situated in the USA, after flying out to Chicago over the weekend.

This comes as part of their latest annual pre-season tour, featuring a trio of high-profile fixtures.

To date, a number of Real’s most high-profile stars have made the journey to Chicago of their own accord, despite still technically being on vacation.

And, as alluded to above, on Wednesday, a fresh name was added to this list.

The player in question? Rodrygo.

Evidently keen to get back in the thick of things at the earliest opportunity amid the fresh competition for places in the attacking third in Madrid, the Brazilian international has cut his summer holidays short.

Rodrygo confirmed as much courtesy of a post across social media, unveiling a photo of himself, alongside the caption ‘back @realmadrid’, and a Chicago location tag:
