Another man down: Real Madrid young defender suffers muscle injury
In yet another blow to the team, Real Madrid youngster Jacobo Ramon has suffered an injury and is set to be out for a few days, reports MARCA.
Los Blancos were greeted with some bad news on the injury front last night as Eder Militao was hurt while on international duty with Brazil.
With the key man’s injury, which will likely keep him out for a couple of weeks at least, it was expected that 19-year-old Ramon could get some minutes, with the La Fabrica talent having surprised everyone at the club.
However, in a cruel twist of fate, Ramon has now suffered a muscle injury and is set to face a spell on the sidelines.
The Castilla centre-back, who has been in the first team since the start of the season, is suffering from a muscular problem that will keep him out for the next few days.
Pending the results of the tests he will undergo, Ramon will not be able to play tomorrow with Castilla against Villarreal B and is almost ruled out of the first-team’s La Liga clash against Real Sociedad next week.
This leaves Carlo Ancelotti with just Antonio Rudiger as the fit centre-back in the squad, considering that Jesus Vallejo has endured recurring fitness problems since the summer.
With no Alaba, Militao, Joan Martinez, and now Ramon, the manager might turn to another Castilla centre-back in Raul Asencio to bolster the ranks.
