Angelina Jolie Carries Her Favorite Tote Bag While Matching in Black With Her Kids

Angelina Jolie put her timeless style on full display in New York City yesterday.

Accompanied by 18-year-old daughter Zahara and 20-year-old son Pax, the Maleficent star paid a visit to the site of her flagship Atelier Jolie store: 57 Great Jones Street, an iconic building once owned by Andy Warhol and lived in by Jean-Michel Basquiat.

For the casual outing, the trio matched in black outfits. Angelina, following her signature monochromatic outfit formula, looked elegant in a long, black single-breasted coat layered over a plain black top and black high-waisted wide-leg trousers. She further coordinated with black shades, black pointed-toe boots, and her go-to black quilted leather tote bag from Saint Laurent.

Angelina's New York City street-style appearances often feature a cameo from this coveted tote. (She has even previously paired the luxurious statement piece with another all-black outfit.)

Angelina's kids interpreted their mom’s signature black monochromatic style in their own ways. Zahara wore a hooded black puffer jacket from the North Face, a white top, black pants, and blue Converse sneakers. She accessorized with a dark brown leather clutch bag and a gold nameplate necklace. Meanwhile, Pax embodied grunge in a white T-shirt layered underneath a black-and-gray flannel. He finished off his outfit with a pair of black pants, black Converse sneakers, and a black ribbed knit beanie.

Earlier this month, Angelina explained the ethos of her forthcoming retail brand to Bazaar.

“There is so much happening that divides us, and it’s essential that we create and share time together. One aspect of today’s world is the push to be like others and follow trends. It doesn’t lead to the place where one feels most alive,” she said. “Discovery and mistakes are essential for creativity. The once-young punk in me wanted to push against what was normal and paint the walls with the people I love. I hope others do, too.”
