Andy Reid dresses as Santa Claus again, gives Chiefs the gift they wanted most

After the Chiefs crushed the Dolphins on Christmas Eve in 2017, KC coach Andy Reid addressed the media as usual. But there was nothing normal about it.

Reid was dressed as Santa Claus that day.

It appears Reid kept that Santa suit, because he broke it out Wednesday following the Chiefs’ 29-10 win over the Steelers in Pittsburgh in a Christmas Day game.

The Chiefs players were already in a good mood after dominating Pittsburgh and seeing teammates Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in special Santa jackets they received from Netflix.

Here’s a closer look at those coats.

The good times continued when Reid entered the locker room in the Santa suit. And he had a gift.

“For the present,” Reid said, “you get homefield advantage (in the playoffs), my friends.”

That video was shared by the NFL and others, but a longer video shows the Christmas theme continued when Reid received a game ball.

It was from Chris Shropshire, an assistant equipment manager, and he was dressed as an elf.

It wasn’t fun for the Chiefs to be forced to play on Christmas Day, but they were certainly enjoying themselves after beating the Steelers.
