Ancelotti’s desire to reunite with former Real Madrid captain meets Perez’s resistance

According to a report from SPORT, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti would be thrilled to welcome back Sergio Ramos as he is a player who the manager has always held in high regard.

In fact, Ancelotti sees Ramos not only as a defensive leader but also as a player with immense charisma, qualities that could help address the team’s recent defensive struggles.

Despite their strong relationship, however, the idea of bringing Ramos back does not currently resonate with Florentino Perez.

Although the Real Madrid president is focused on strengthening the squad and is in search of a centre-back to bolster the team’s defence, the question remains: is there a player with more experience and a deeper understanding of the Real Madrid culture than Ramos?

Likely, there isn’t.

Why not Ramos?

Though Ramos is currently without a club and is training alone, the prospect of him returning to the Santiago Bernabeu is not being seriously considered by the club.

Despite his eagerness to come back, his departure from Real Madrid was not amicable, particularly with Perez.

When Ramos left, it was clear that there was tension between him and the president. Their strained relationship stemmed from a disagreement involving Ramos’s brother and agent, which received considerable media attention.

This situation did not sit well with Perez, who, despite acknowledging Ramos’s contributions, saw the departure as an opportunity to move on.

Though Ramos expressed gratitude toward the president, especially for his assistance in negotiating some of the defender’s deals, it seems that his time at Madrid has come to an end.

Perez is known for being unsentimental when it comes to decisions about players, and he doesn’t seem inclined to offer second chances.

For now, Real Madrid continue to explore other options in the market to fill the gaps in their defence, but Ramos’s door to a return appears to be firmly closed.
