Amrabat: Mourinho’s Fenerbahce fight Galatasaray for Viola midfielder
Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce are refusing to give up on Sofyan Amrabat and are fighting Galatasaray for the Fiorentina midfielder.
The 27-year-old Moroccan midfielder returned to Florence last month after his season on loan with Manchester United, who decided not to activate his buy option, instead hoping to negotiate a lower fee.
The Red Devils haven’t agreed a deal for Amrabat, who only has a year left on his contract with Fiorentina and isn’t part of Raffaele Palladino’s new project moving forward. In recent weeks, Fenerbahce have emerged with serious interest.
Fight for Amrabat
Gianluca Di Marzio details how Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are fighting for Amrabat, both pushing to try and convince the Fiorentina midfielder of a move. Neither of the clubs’ offers have been accepted by the Florence outfit.
Updates are expected in the coming weeks as the Viola look to sell the 27-year-old Moroccan midfielder before the end of the month, wanting to bring in a replacement. They’ve been linked with a move for Juventus’ Weston McKennie.
