Alvarez repays Scaloni decision with opener against Canada 🇦🇷
The first of two Copa América semi-finals occurrs on Tuesday, and Argentina grabbed the lead over Canada.
Manager Lionel Scaloni dropped Golden Boot leader Lautaro Martinez instead, played Julian Alvarez from the start.
The Manchester City man then made sure to thank his boss for the decision with the opener for Argentina.
A brilliant pass from Rodrigo De Paul found Alvarez, and thanks to Canada’s centre-backs being too far apart from one another, he slipped through and scored.
