Allen Americans Swing Two Trades Prior To Wednesday's Game
The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of Utah Hockey Club, announced two trades prior to Wednesday’s home game against the Wichita Thunder.
The Americans acquired goalie Luke Richardson from the Wheeling Nailers for future considerations.
Richardson started one game for the Wheeling Nailers this season (1-0) and stopped 19 of 20 shots to earn the victory.
The Barrie, Ont. native played in 12 games for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits last season and had a record of 7-1-1 with a 0.931 save percentage.
The Americans weren’t done. In another transaction, the club acquired forward Nick Isaacson from the Cincinnati Cyclones. In 19 games this year with Cincinnati he had three points (two goals and one assist. In 59 games last year with the Cyclones, he posted 24 points (11-13-24). He played in three American Hockey League games with the Hershey Bears in 21-22.
The Americans (7-10-5-0) start a busy week of action Wednesday as they host the Wichita Thunder (13-10-2-0) in the first of two home games this week at CUTX Event Center. Allen is looking to snap a six-game losing streak, their longest of the season.
