Allen Americans And Adirondack Thunder Exchange Forwards
The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Utah Hockey Club, acquired forward Patrick Polino from the Adirondack Thunder, in exchange for forward Easton Brodzinski.
Polino played in 26 games for the Thunder this season and recorded three goals and seven assists for 10 points. He played all 72 games in back-to-back years for the Cincinnati Cyclones in 22-23 and 23-24.
The Buffalo, New York native played in 15 American Hockey League games with the Rochester Americans while with Cincinnati in 2021-22. Cincinnati is the former ECHL affiliate of the Rochester Americans and Buffalo Sabres.
Polino also played in one game with Providence (AHL), during the 2021-22 season. He will join the Americans in Kansas City this weekend when the club faces the Mavericks.
“We are excited to welcome Patrick Polino and his family to Allen,” Americans Head Coach B.J. Adams said in a statement. "He has a proven track record of success in this league. He gives us more experience up front and provides us with more depth at Center. He plays in all situations and can also play the wing."
Brodzinski, 28, has 21 points (11-10-21) in 29 games this season with the Americans. In 136 total regular-season ECHL games, the 6-foot-2, 198-pound forward has 82 points (41-41-82) with Allen and the Jacksonville Icemen. Brodzinski also has played in one American Hockey League game with the Hartford Wolf Pack.
Prior to his professional career, the Blaine, Minn. native played five seasons at NCAA (D1) St. Cloud State University and had 125 points (67-58-125) in 176 games played. Brodzinski also helped capture NCHC Regular Season Championships in 2018 and 2019.
