Alisson, Elliott & more: Liverpool injuries, suspensions and potential return dates vs West Ham
Here are the latest updates on Liverpool's first-team injuries and suspensions vs West Ham as well as key return dates for members of the squad.
Following a triumphant 3-0 over Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend, Liverpool's focus now extends to retaining the Carabao Cup, as they face West Ham United at Anfield on Wednesday 25th September in their opening round.

Reason: Muscle injury
Since Arne Slot revealed last week that Alisson had picked up a muscle injury and could not feature for the Reds' contest against Bournemouth, the club have given few updates on the progress of the Brazilian goalkeeper.
However, in an Instagram post on Saturday night, whilst at home watching football, Alisson revealed that he was wearing a medical device on his legs, as a way to keep blood circulating around the affected area to try and boost his recovery.
In his absence, Caoimhin Kelleher stepped up and ensured Liverpool notched their fifth clean sheet of the season, and as Kellher was likely to play in the club's domestic cup runs anyway, it is unlikely we will see Alisson this week.
Potential return date: 28 September 2024 (Wolves vs Liverpool)
Harvey Elliott

Reason: Fractured foot
Since the extent of the 21-year-old's injury was revealed, after he felt discomfort during the initial training sessions for England's u-21 team during the last international break, he has spent an extended spell on the sidelines.
Having only played seven minutes for the club so far this season, making a brief cameo in Liverpool's 2-0 win over Brentford, it is unlikely we will see him until after the October international break.
Potential return date: 20 October 2024 (Liverpool vs Chelsea)

Reason: Uncertain
In Liverpool's most recent squad against Bournemouth, the Japanese international was nowhere to be seen, sparking speculation over whether he may be injured.
Arne Slot has spoken out about how Endo is not a midfielder he favours, but the player has been defiant in trying to be available for selection and earn his way back into the side.
In a team which is likely to be rotated against West Ham on Wednesday, we may see Endo return and make his first appearance of the season.
However, it is worth keeping an eye out, because if he is not selected at all, then we may finally get some answers about the players' whereabouts.
Potential return date: Unknown
