Alexandre Taillefer Commits To UMass
Quebec Remparts defenseman Alexandre Taillefer has committed to UMass, it was announced Wednesday.
Taillefer, who is a product of Richelieu, Que., has split time between the Remparts and the Lac St. Louis Lions (QM18AAA) this season. In eight games with Quebec, he has scored a goal while posting three goals and 15 points in 18 games with the Lions.
Drafted by the Remparts in the seventh round of the 2024 QMJHL Entry Draft, Taillefer played for the Lions in 2023-24, collecting four goals and 12 assists for 16 points in 42 regular season games.
With Taillefer set to join the Minutemen in 2027, this will allow him to continue his development with the Remparts and hone his game. Already a talented two-way defender, Taillefer will only continue to get better.
