Alex Steeves Now Toronto Marlies All-Time Leading Scorer

Alex Steeves is now the Toronto Marlies all-time leading scorer after notching two goals against the Laval Rocket on Dec. 7.

His first period marker was the 80th goal and 169th point of his career, moving him ahead of Kris Newbury who notched 168 points in 198 games for the Marlies over parts of four seasons.

After his second goal of the game Steeves now sits at 170 points in 200 career AHL games, all with the Marlies.

The Bedford, NH., native now sits 13 goals behind Ryan Hamilton (94) for first on the Marlies all-time goal list.

Steeves signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs that pays him $775,000 in August.

The 24-year-old has no points in four games with the Maple Leafs this season and one assist in 11 career NHL games.
