Al-Nassr Set Asking Price for PSG Summer Target Amid Real Madrid Interest
This past summer, Paris Saint-Germain was linked with several center-backs to bolster their defense, including veteran Aymeric Laporte.
José Álvarez Haya from El Chiringuito reported during the summer that PSG, along with Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid, was in the race for the Spanish defender.
PSG’s interest appeared particularly strong due to manager Luis Enrique’s previous connection with Laporte from their time together with Spain’s national team. However, Real Madrid seems to be leading the charge for the UEFA Euro 2024 winner.
A report from Spain suggests that Real Madrid are particularly keen on signing Laporte following Éder Militão’s injury. Militão, who tore his ACL during Real Madrid’s 4-0 win over Osasuna, is expected to be sidelined for around nine months, according to ESPN sources.
Despite the interest in Laporte, the deal is complicated by his high salary and the fact that Saudi Arabia is unlikely to approve a six-month loan.
What’s the latest on Aymeric Laporte returning to Europe?
MARCA’s José Félix Díaz reports that Al-Nassr is asking for €30 million from Real Madrid for 30-year-old, a figure that goes against the club’s usual policy of not paying that much for veteran players.

Before leaving for Saudi Arabia, Laporte spent time with Athletic Club from 2012 to 2018 and then moved to Manchester City, where he played from 2018 to 2023. Once his time with the Premier League was over, the defender went to Al-Nassr.
