According to L’Équipe, Ajax are lining up a move for Nice midfielder Pablo Rosario (28) to replace Monaco target Jordan Henderson (35). Les Monégasques are in negotiations with the Eredivisie club to sign the former Liverpool captain, prompting them to highlight potential replacements.

The Dutch club are in advanced negotiations with the Ligue 1 club over a move for the former England international. Rosario is seen as an ideal replacement for Henderson. Ajax head coach Francesco Farioli is familiar with the Dutch international midfielder, having coached him at Nice before he made the switch to the Netherlands.

Negotiations ongoing

Henderson has already been convinced to move to the Principality club with personal terms not thought to be an issue. However, Monaco are yet to convince the Amsterdam outfit to sell the 35-year-old before the end of the transfer window. The Sunderland-born midfielder joined Ajax in January 2024 from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq.
