Aidan Chiles injury update: Michigan State QB hurt after hard hit in Indiana game

Michigan State football quarterback Aidan Chiles exited Saturday's game against No. 13 Indiana with an apparent injury.

The Spartans quarterback took a big hit from Hoosiers defensive lineman Mikail Kamara on a blitz in the third quarter of Saturday's game on a second-and-9. The hit on Chiles came after an incomplete pass.

Peacock's stream showed Chiles heading back into the locker room with a towel over his head and a Michigan State trainer by his side.

Chiles is in his first season as the Spartans' starting quarterback after transferring from Oregon State during the offseason. The 6-foot-3 quarterback entered Saturday's contest against Indiana with 1,657 passing yards and seven passing touchdowns while completing 61% of his passes.

He was replaced by Michigan State backup quarterback Tommy Schuster in the third quarter.

Chiles left Saturday's game vs. Indiana in the third quarter after taking a big hit from Indiana. He walked off the field on his own power and was shown walking into the locker room with a towel over his head on Peacock's stream.

Near the start of the fourth quarter, Peacock's stream showed Chiles standing back on the sidelines, talking to members of Michigan State's training staff. He was seen still wearing the towel over his head while having his throwing hand in a pouch wrapped around his waist.
