The fans in Leverkusen really wanted to see Cristiano Ronaldo. Too much so, in fact.

Two fans invaded the pitch and ran toward Ronaldo in Juventus’ 2-0 Champions League win over Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday. The worse instance came after the final whistle, when a fan looking for a selfie grabbed Ronaldo by the shoulder while he wasn’t looking.

Once Ronaldo realized what was going on, he quickly ducked out and then stepped toward the fan in a menacing manner before security dragged the fan away.

Via TUDN:

To be clear, Ronaldo was very much in the right to be upset and ready to defend himself however necessary. Who knows what fans willing to run onto the pitch are further capable of.

Another fan interrupted the game in the second half, and while he ran in Ronaldo’s general direction, the Juve superstar grinned and seemed to find the incident more amusing than threatening.

Still, the BayArena should take a good long look at its security. This kind of behavior simply can’t be tolerated.
