Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim wants to revamp the goalkeeping department.

It was reported earlier that Man United want to sign a new goalkeeper in 2025 to compete with Andre Onana.

Altay Bayindir was reportedly ‘not regarded as a credible competition’ to the Cameroon international.

Bayindir’s agent, Sefa Seyrek, has dismissed those reports and revealed that United ‘does not want to lose’ the shot-stopper.

He said to Sports Digitale: “Altay had offers from many European clubs and the Premier League at the beginning of the season.

“There are currently clubs that are interested, but Altay wants to stay and play in Manchester United.

“The club definitely does not want to lose Altay.”

The Turkish international joined United from Fenerbahce in a deal worth £4.3 million in the summer of 2023.

In 1.5 years of his Old Trafford stay, Bayindir has played merely four times.

These appearances have all come in cup competitions—three in the Carabao Cup and one in the FA Cup.

He has yet to make his Premier League debut.

United head coach Ruben Amorim gave the 26-year-old an opportunity against Tottenham Hotspur.

However, his performance was marred by two costly errors that ultimately saw United eliminated from the Carabao Cup.

First, he parried Pedro Porro’s shot directly into the path of Dominic Solanke, who seized the opportunity to give Spurs the lead.

Though United pushed for a comeback in the second half, disaster struck again as he conceded directly from a corner.

The Red Devils are considering to add Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens to their squad.

He has the experience of playing with a high defensive line.
