Adi Hütter fears serious injury for Monaco defender Jordan Teze
Adi Hütter fears that Jordan Teze (25) suffered a serious injury during AS Monaco’s 3-0 defeat to Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
Teze, who came on at halftime with Monaco two goals and a man down at the San Siro, was injured during an innocuous challenge in the 85th minute. With Les Monégasques having already used up all five substitutes, it meant that they finished the game with nine men.
However, more worrying was the gravity of Teze’s injury. Despite getting up from the challenge, he needed to be stretchered off and he then left the San Siro on crutches. Speaking in a post-match press conference, attended by Get French Football News, Adi Hütter was not very optimistic about the Dutchman’s quadriceps injury.
“We will see about his injury but it could be quite a strong one. We will see after the MRI, though,” said the Monaco manager. The timing of the injury is unfortunate for the Dutchman, who was in his best run of form since joining from PSV Eindhoven in the summer.
