Looking to start your weekend off on the right note? Then let us direct your attention to St. Louis Cardinals ace and shower-singing sensation Adam Wainwright as he belts out a few lyrics from Taylor Swift’s hit song “Shake It Off.”

What you’ve just witnessed is not a lost audition for “The Voice.” It’s Wainwright preparing for the Big League Impact Sing off and Karaoke Challenge he’ll be hosting on Jan. 16 at Dave & Buster’s in Maryland Heights, MO. The event will run from 5 PM to 8 PM, and will feature ten singers from around the St. Louis area competing to garner some attention and earn time in the studio to perhaps record a future hit of their own.
The main event though — or at least of most interest to baseball fans — will be when Wainwright hits the stage to perform some of his favorite tunes. He’ll even perform a duet with a random winner, which figures to be outstanding.
