The Acadie-Bathurst Titan have been a rollercoaster of a story this season. From the rough pre-season outlook, to the confirmed relocation to Newfoundland, things have been on shaky ground. However, the on-ice product hasn't suffered as the Titan have been able to pull through and give Bathurst one last hurrah before they depart further East.

One big reason for the team's success has been the breakthrough of overage goaltender Josh Fleming. Third in the QMJHL in save percentage amongst starters with a .928 across 32 games thus far, he's transcended into an elite status goaltender.

His strong play has been able to secure interest from prospective teams, and now landing a commitment to the Penn State Nittany Lions NCAA program.

Fleming, 20, has spent his entire QMJHL career with the Titan, amassing a .902 career save percentage across 112 games to date. Out of goaltenders with at least 100 games played with the team, he's tied for first in save percentage with Nicolas Champion.

With the move, he's become the second QMJHL player connected to the program, following defenseman Mathieu Taillefer -- who signed with the Halifax Mooseheads earlier this season.

With their starting goaltender, Calgary Flames prospect Arsenii Sergeyev still retaining one season of NCAA eligibility left, it's likely he'll back him up for one season -- unless the Russian netminder goes pro or transfers.

Fleming brings some NHL experience as well, having attended a Buffalo Sabres development camp in 2023.

All-in-all, it's no doubt that his play this season was deserving of a second look, and the Penn State Nittany Lions will be the team to benefit from his services next fall.
